Whether you are a hockey buff or a seasoned figure skater, the Northtown Center is equipped to serve with four ice pads, an Olympic sized rink and three NHL sized rinks.
The complex is home to Amherst Youth Hockey, the Amherst Skating Club and the Performax Hockey adult league. Each group offers a variety of programs including youth house leagues, learn-to-skate lessons for all ages and organized leagues for grown-ups.
Facility amenities are geared toward individuals of all ages whether playing, viewing or on the go. A full-service restaurant, concessions, vending and two private skyboxes for meetings and gatherings are just some of the enhancements visitors can enjoy. Additional amenities include Proformance Sports Training (personal training and fitness facility) and Front Row Sports (pro-shop). The Northtown Center also serves as the headquarters for the Town of Amherst Youth & Recreation Department.
Community/public skate offerings include something for everyone! Morning toddler skate, open skates, 18 & over hockey scrimmages, senior general skates as well open figure skating sessions are just a few of the numerous options! Looking for visibility and advertising? The Northtown Center offers unique opportunities: dasher board signs, backlit signs, ice logos and banners that allow maximum exposure to a captive audience with annual facility foot traffic of over 1.6 million.
