Come out and ROCK THE BLOCK at West Side Community Services!

Get ready for the West Side’s most fun neighborhood event, where we close down Vermont Street in front of our building for a two-hour block party!

We’ve got even more vendors and activities than last year. You won’t want to miss it!

WHEN: Wednesday, August 23 from 6-8 p.m.

WHERE: In, out, and around West Side Community Services (161 Vermont Street, Buffalo 14213)

COST: Everything is free unless noted otherwise below.

WHAT: We’ll be serving up family fun on Vermont Street, including:

🫧 Foam party (wear something that can get wet)!

🦘 Star Wars bounce house

🪗 Live music from Acousticopia

🔔 Live gamelan performance with Balinese dance lesson from Nusantara Arts

🏒 Street hockey fun with the Buffalo Sabres youth hockey program

🧁 Snacks and treats from Rich Products and SNAP-Ed NY

🎈 Balloon art from Crazy Christine Balloons, plus strolling magic and face painting

🤞 Bingo with prizes hosted by our West Side Seniors

🦩 Free giveaways like lawn flamingos, glitter jars, cooler bags with ice packs, and produce baskets

🎻 Free arts activities like pop-up string lessons, an air-dry clay project, friendship bracelets, a drum circle, and more, plus the Buffalo AKG Art Museum Art Truck

🚲 Chance to win a pre-loved kids’ bike (free raffle)

🎮 Chance to win a Nintendo Switch with games OR a $100 Amazon gift card (paid raffle)
