Junior History Buffs is a program at The Buffalo History Museum that engages children ages 4-9 in age-based lessons. A short program, or “Circle Time,” is instructor-guided and includes songs, a brief lesson about local history and a story. Afterwards, self-guided activities can be enjoyed by the whole family such as crafts, interactive artifact explorations, and exhibit-related games. This program takes place every M&T Bank Third Friday from 10am to 2pm, with circle time at 10:30 a.m.
This month, we will focus on what architects and horticulturists do. The program will highlight local architects George Cary and Louise Bethune. The Buffalug Club (the local chapter of the Lego club) will bring models of local buildings made with Legos and extra Legos for kids to practice building their own creations! In exploring horticulture, children will have the opportunity to plant seeds and grow their own plant.
This free admission day is made possible through the generosity of M&T Bank.
