Two Unique Concerts on October 29: Halloween Storytelling and Birds and Poems
Asbury United Methodist Church is delighted to host two upcoming concerts featuring young piano students from Dr. Antonella Di Giulio's Woom Talent Center. The concerts will take place on October 29, 2023, and aim to showcase budding talent while supporting the charity "Feed My Starving Children."
The first concert, a Halloween Storytelling event, kicks off at 3:00 PM. Dressed in Halloween costumes, young performers will bring their original musical stories to life in this interactive setting designed for families.
The second concert, Birds and Poems, will begin at 5:00 PM and adopt a more formal atmosphere. Students will perform pieces inspired by the theme, featuring works by esteemed composers like Bernstein, Chopin, and Liszt.
"Music is not just an art form but a way of building community and fostering compassion," said Dr. Antonella Di Giulio, the founder of Woom Talent Center. "By coupling our musical presentations with a philanthropic mission, we aim to make a broader impact."
Open to the public, both concerts will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church. While admission is free, attendees are encouraged to make a suggested donation of $10 per adult, with all proceeds going to the non-profit organization "Feed My Starving Children."
Co-sponsors for the event include Woom Talent Center and community partners who advocate for the arts and education.
