FIND WHY: Vanishing Rhino

Vanishing Rhino showcases “Bring Back the Extinct Northern White Rhino,” the dynamic life-size rhino sculpture by Chicago-based artist Victoria Fuller. The sculpture inflates and deflates on a cycle every few minutes. When deflated, guests are reminded that the Northern White Rhino is extinct. When inflated, guests see the magnificence of the species when it was alive.
The sculpture is complimented by graphic installations to build awareness for the human actions that have led to the species’ extinction, as well as local rhino conservations efforts underway at the Buffalo Zoo.
The exhibit runs from September 22, 2022 – April 6, 2023
