The Buffalo Museum of Science (BMS) announced tickets are now on sale for DinoFEST – the Museum’s day-long, family friendly event exploring dinosaurs, paleontology, and geology. The event takes place on Saturday, November 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This will be the first time DinoFEST has returned to the Museum since November 2019.
In addition to exploring exhibits on all of the Museum’s four floors, DinoFEST guests can explore the giant dino dig pit, engage with real paleontologists and geologists, examine fossils with Museum collections staff and Penn Dixie Archaeological Park, get up close to flying modern-day raptors with Messinger Wood Wildlife Care and Education Center, make their own fossils, dino masks, and raptor claws, learn how to walk like a dinosaur, and so much more.
Tickets to DinoFEST are on sale now. Admission is free for Museum Members, or $20 adults, $17 children for nonmembers.
For families with sensory sensitivities, the BMS has added a special dino-themed Sensory Night the evening before DinoFEST on Friday, November 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. Limited exhibit sounds will provide a comfortable and fun evening of learning and exploration. Sensory Night guests can enjoy hands-on sensory activities featuring dinosaur movement, kinetic sand fossil digs, arts and crafts, and more. A limited number of sound-dampening headphones as well as fidgets will be available upon request, along with dedicated quiet rooms. Capacity for Sensory Night is limited to the first 200 tickets reserved, which are free for BMS members and $17 for nonmembers.
Due to limited capacity, the Museum strongly encourages that tickets be purchased in advance for DinoFEST or Sensory Night at sciencebuff.org.
